Guiding Students Through Faith and Education
Holy Trinity Catholic School is located in Laconia, NH. We are devoted to providing students and families with Christ-centered teaching and learning experiences through faith, humility, service, and ensuring an inclusive community. We nurture children's spiritual, social, psychological, physical and cognitive development and we believe in the simplicity and wholesomeness of childhood, therefore, we have come back-to-the-basics with plenty of outdoor play in nature and a purposefully low-technology environment. Children feel most secure and safe when they experience unconditional love and opportunities to learn from real-world experiences. We value teacher and student growth and learning, therefore engage in meaningful collaboration internally and across the Diocese of Manchester and Catholic schools across the nation.

Preschool & Kindergarten Teacher
Mrs. Diane Fadden, mrsfadden@htsnh.org
Hello! I am so grateful to be part of the Holy Trinity Catholic School team as the new prek/kindergarten teacher. For over 30 years, I have had the pleasure of helping nurture and educate the little ones in my home daycare. Now, I truly feel called to share my gifts in a Catholic school setting where I can help children grow in faith and knowledge. It's an honor to work with families and help introduce their children to Jesus. One of my favorite Bible verses is, "Let all that you do be done in love" ~ 1 Corinthians 16:14. I will work with the love of Jesus for your child every day. I'm excited to start this next journey! A parishioner of Sacred Heart Church,

Multi-Age Kindergarten/First Grade Teacher
Miss Kate Canfield, misscanfield@htsnh.org and her teaching companion and sister, Miss Elizabeth Canfield
I am delighted to join the dedicated staff of Holy Trinity School this year as the Kindergarten/1st Grade teacher! My faith in Jesus means everything to me! So it is a great blessing to be able to teach in a school where Jesus is honored as our Lord and Savior. I am grateful for the opportunity to teach children about our faith.
I believe that every child is a precious gift from God who possesses unique talents and abilities. I consider it a great privilege to be able to partner with parents in teaching their children. I believe that the purpose of education is to teach students about the world in which we live, and to provide a supportive environment in which they are able to discover and develop skills that will empower them to live productive, fulfilled lives that help make the world a better place.
I have a B.S. degree in Early Childhood/EC Special Education, along with many years of experience as a Religious Education coordinator. It is with great joy that I embrace my calling to be a teacher of young children, and it is the hope of my heart that I will make an eternal difference in the lives of my students and their families. I believe that my love for Jesus and my love for children will make teaching in a Catholic school a true joy!
I am blessed to welcome my sister, Miss Elizabeth, as my classroom assistant. Miss Elizabeth has a great love for Jesus and enjoys learning. She has touched many hearts during her years helping me with the CCD program, and she is looking forward to sharing her love of learning with our students. Miss Elizabeth and I enjoy spending time with our large family, and we like baking, making handcrafts, skiing, and kayaking. Our home parish is St. Katharine Drexel’s in Alton, where we are reminded of the role model that St. Katharine Drexel gave us of a teacher after God’s own heart.

Multi-Age Grades 2/3 Teacher
Isabella Vanassse, B.A. History, Dartmouth College, M.A., Communications, Dartmouth College
M.Ed, Plymouth State University, mrsvanasse@htsnh.org
Hello! My name is Isabella Vanasse and I am delighted to be joining Holy Trinity! First of all, since Vanasse involves a tricky French Canadian pronunciation, I’ll explain: Try, “van” (a type of vehicle) and the name of the letter “S,” (rather than the sound of the letter.) So, “Van-S.”Alternatively, “Va-NESS.” Vanessa without the “a.”I am a mother of three and wife to a Knights of Columbus member. My youngest children are in the Kindergarten and Preschool classes. I have worked with students of all ages over the last twenty years, primarily in math, reading, and writing, some receiving specialized instruction through special education. I have been trained in Orton Gillingham and the Wilson ReadingSystem. My interest as an educator resides in nurturing an internally-motivated love of learning in your students. I believe learning can be focused, productive, and enjoyable. Moreover, decades of research on neuroscience teaches us supporting a growth mindset means not knowing, even failing (temporarily), is part of the process!I also ascribe to the Catholic notion that our primary function is to help your children heed the call to be great saints. As Pope Francis reminds us, we are all called to be great saints! One of the many beauties of the Catholic faith is its respect for rich scholarship. I consciously build a robust can-do dynamic from classroom academics to social dynamics by coaching students onself-awareness practices, through the zones of regulation and in communication practices, such as observing antecedents in behaviors, discussing underlying needs, and using I-statements.Originally from the Pacific Northwest, where the natural landscape is breathtaking and similar, I have resided in New Hampshire for almost twenty years now. I earned Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in History and Communications at Dartmouth College before earning a master’s degree in special education from Plymouth State University. I also studied math education in my home state of Washington. Outside of my passion for church, family, and service to kiddos— fostering intellectual and personal growth in students— I love running in the woods, marveling in the beauty, grace, and purpose of all God’s creations.

My hope is to help create a welcoming and supportive environment where students, families, and staff can thrive together. I feel truly blessed to be part of this faith-based community that nurtures both academic growth and spiritual development.Outside of my role at Holy Trinity, I have a passion for swing dancing, playing music, and painting—really, any creative outlet. Most of all, I am grateful to serve a loving God and to witness His presence in the hearts of His amazing children each day.

Instructional Aide, The Ancient Language of Latin
Theology of the Body
Mrs. Kathryn Petrini, B.A., Philosophy, St. Anselm College mrspetrini@htsnh.org
Hello, Holy Trinity Community! My name is Kathryn Petrini and I am excited to be joining HTCS this fall to teach Latin and Theology of the Body. I am a recent graduate of SaintAnselm College with a BA in Philosophy and a minor in Theology. I also fulfilled my language requirements in Classical Latin after being introduced to the language at Bishop Brady High School. The ancient language of Latin is foundational for understanding grammar patterns, identifying derivatives, and reading important philosophical and theological texts.
My second course, Theology of the Body, helps young people connect with their identity, purpose, and dignity as created in the image of God. We will discuss human dignity, respect for others, God’s plan for our bodies, etc. I am excited to begin teaching later this fall and cannot wait to meet you
all!
My daughter will also be in Pre-K this fall. We chose Holy Trinity because the community here becomes an extension of family. I attended Holy Trinity through middle school and reflect on my education there as formative to my Catholic identity and academic work ethic. I am blessed that my daughter can be part of a community that will encourage her to explore her God-given gifts and unapologetically uphold Catholic values.
